After Kampar stop for buying the Roti Ayam, I decided to take a look at the latest development of UTAR and same time to show my son where is the university as he may one day pursuing his study here. Well, there are lot of changes and developments going on here. We did not get to enter the main campus and just check around the area surrounding it.

The main entrance to UTAR.

The main Campus which I took zooming in with my cam.
Hostels for the students. This one look nice called Danish house.
Another block of hostel.
Many more here.
And this hotel really grand, it is called the Grand Kampar Hotel.
And many shops which have been turn into hostel too.
On Sunday, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) celebrated another milestone with the official opening of its main campus here. The ceremony also marked the Kampar campus’ first intake of nearly 500 students for its one-year Foundation in Arts or Science programmes.
MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said it was “an historic day” commemorating the completion of part of the first phase, which includes lecture halls, laboratories, a student centre and a conference complex.
With the shortage of university's places for many qualified students in Malaysia, this new university will definitely help in meeting the long term goal of the government to have enough places for all students. But it is going to be a tough and the local university must also improve on its standard to be at par with those overseas.
