SOON KING Noodles Frontier owner George Hong is a nephew of Tan, the owner of May King, the famous lam mee noodle house in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur.
George spent two years helping and learning from his uncle who has been plying his trade since the early 1970s.

In 2002, George and his wife founded Soon King in PJ New Town.
Business is brisk because his lam mee is as good as his uncle's.

He has also added to the menu items such as thick curry chicken mee and meat balls, fried foo cheok (dumplings) and yong tau foo with noodles.
