TV8 Ho Chak today show recommended two porridge shops, one Cantonese Porridge, Kedai Hon Kee (opposite Hong Leong Bank along Jalan Hang Lekir in KL)
Hon Kee has been reviewed by many food reviews as a great place for porridge. It has a 60 years history and now in its 3rd generation.
Herbert Wong, a third generation owner, says his family started the stall in 1945.

Since Hon Kee opens from 4.30am till 1.30pm, Herbert’s “work day” starts at 12 midnight. It takes about four to five hours to cook each pot of porridge.
