Long-time patrons would remember that they started out as a stall and shifted into the compound of a house opposite in the mid-1990s.
At Heng Kee one can get a balanced meal for besides bah kut teh, rice and eu char koay (deep-fried rice cakes), the Teohs also serve fresh vegetables, mushrooms and tauhu pok (deep-fried bean cake soaked in sauce).
