Day 4, we also toured the 1000 Buddha Relics Stupa at Kopan built to commemorate the late Great Mahasiddha Geshe Lama Konchog and the Vajra Yogini Pure Land Park.

Geshela Tenzin Zopa, the most perfect guru and the heart disciple of Lama Konchog was the person responsible for this Stupa and Pure Land Park Project. His initial intention to build a 70 feet tall stupa was thought to be unachievable and crazy as it required lots of money to build it. But with Geshe-la strong and pure motivation, the project become a reality. He managed to raise the necessary fund not just for the Stupa but also the Pure Land Park.

He said to us that when you want to start a successful project, Dont think of the money. With the right motivation and determination, you will be able to find the funds.

Originally, Geshe-la wanted to build a 70 feet tall stupa but due to building restrictions, a 40 feet one was allowed.
