The Himalayan Buddhist Meditation Center (HBMC)
Sunday, December 23, 2007On Day 3, we also visited The Himalayan Buddhist Meditation Center (HBMC) for Tibetan Buddhist studies was founded in 1992 as an urban center for meditation, study, and spiritual practice. HBMC operates under the spiritual guidance of Kyabje Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche and is a member of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition. Ven Ang Losang who has just returned to Nepal from LDC, Malaysia is now n charge of the center. He personally welcome us and took us to tour the center.
Meditation hall has ample space for small to medium groups.
Yoga hall
Guest House facility offers 6 single and 7 double occupancy cozy, clean, and comfortable, furnished rooms. Non-attached toilet and shower rooms are located on every floor with electric hot water heating facility. Room rates are 300 Rs (single) and 500 Rs (double). Rates are subject to decrease in low tourist seasons.
