Day 1 Dinner @ Garden Kitchen Home Cooking, Kathmandu
Wednesday, December 19, 2007After visiting the Bouddhanath Stupa, Geshe-la brought to this very nice Chinese home cooking restaurant called Garden Kitchen which was recommended by the Koppan Manager.
Garden Kitchen is one of Boudha's hidden gems. As its name suggests, the restaurant is in a garden outside. The foods are great and the prices are very reasonable. 5 minute walk from stupa.

The menu.
We tried the Nepalese set meal and some order the Nepalese style flour mee like "Pan mee" called Chon-Dup.Left to Right. Our Guest, Madam Wong, Shirley, Ven Dechen and Mr Koo.
This is the drink that was recommended by Ven, Osel. called Lemon Ginger Honey Tea. Almost everyone tried it and it was really nice. After that, we kept ordering it whenever we had lunch or dinner.
Not sweet enough, you can add more honey.
This is how the Nepalese Chicken set meal look like. Very delicious. The taste are very much like north Indian cuisine.Side dishes like this sweet and sour potato, onion, tomato and chilli and.........
salad are really nice too. And we enjoyed and very satisfied with the dinner very much. I did not managed to take picture of the Nepalese Pan mee.
