Hello from Kathmandu, Nepal
Friday, December 07, 2007While our Thai Airwayss flight was about to decend for landing, we have a good view of the Himalayan.Blogging from Internet Cafe at KathmanduHi everyone, I arrived Kathmandu safely yesterday at 1.30pm local time. Our LDC resident guru, Geshela Tenzin Zopa came personally to airport to welcome us.
We took a four wheel drive to check in at Shambala Resort Guest House which is about 20mins drive from airport. The other group who stayed at Hyatt took the Toyota Van. Weather was sunny and very nice till late evening. The street is very dusty and the road conditions is not so good.

At 4 pm, we went over to Hyatt to join the other group who stayed at Hyatt and visited the Boudanath Stupa. What is special here is that there will be power cut from 5.30-7.30pm and we have to walked in the dark. It was really a great experience circumbulating the stupa and make light offerings. We spend about 1 hours at the stupa.
Later we adjourned to a Chinese Restaurant called Garden Kitchen Home Cooking for a very nice dinner. I tried the Nepal set dinner which is very delicious and also the lemon honey ginger drink. We went back to guest house at around 10pm. Slept at 12.30am. It is very cold during middle of the night.Thats all for now. Will update when time permits. :)
