Restoran Taiping Lang 太平人之美餐 @ Bandar Puchong Jaya
Friday, November 09, 2007After reading some good reviews about this restaurant, we decide to find out ourselves how good are the foods here. Look here at all the reviews about them.
During the Deepavali Holiday, we drove to this place to sample restaurant Taiping Lang whose tag line is: “Where you can enjoy grandma’s cooking” foods.
The decor of the restaurant consists of tables of various sizes with marble and wooden tops and chairs that don't always match each other. The walls are decorated with antique enamel basins, utensils, car parts and even their father's ancient safe. Right in front is a safe corner for children to keep occupied until the food arrives.

Taiping Lang offers set menus of A, B, C & D which are alternated regularly. We ordered a combination of set B,C and D .
Ot T'ee Ba: Pork fried in dark sweet soy sauce.
Soup of the Day : Clear and delicious wintermelon to cool your body systemThe food are a bit on the sweet and sour taste which not everyone will like it. As I dont consume sugar a lot, it is a bit too sweet for me. But the dining environment is great. If you want a nice place and try out special home cooked food. This will be a good choice.
The set meal for 3 pax costs RM38.00 plus drinks total up to RM43.50.
