Tiger Wins 14th Major at 108th US Open

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

The last few days I have been watching the US Open and European Championship but I missed the 18th hole playoff last night as I am too tired and slept early. I search the internet for the result and as expected the winner is Tiger Woods.

Golf.com reported that with a throbbing knee and a pounding heart, Tiger Woods made one last improbable escape Monday and won the U.S. Open in a 19-hole playoff over Rocco Mediate, his 14th career major and maybe the most amazing of them all. Tiger Woods, who has won 14 major championships, is ahead of the pace set by Jack Nicklaus.
