One of the town that we stop by for lunch while we drive from Kilarney to Galway. Listowel Castle is located just a few hundred metres from Listowel Arms Hotel.

 The construction date of the earliest castle at Listowel dates to the 13th century but the present Listowel Castle was probably built in the 15th century by the FitzMaurices.
