What is Blue Screen of Death. ??? One of my home PC had this problem 2 days ago.

The blue screen of death (BSOD), is the informal name given by users to the Windows general protection fault (GPF) error. Named in honor of the error's dreaded display image of white text on a blue background, the BSOD is generated by the operating system when it has suddenly terminated with an error. The system locks up and must be rebooted. The blue screen may include some hexadecimal values from a core dump that can potentially be used to determine what caused the crash.

It is a problem beyond my novice IT skill to get it fix and i have to send to the PC Repair shop. This pm, I send it for check and repair @ Sunway Pyramid IT Centre.

After some testing, the PC Shop advised that the processor and one of the RAM Card are the cause to the BSOD. The processor and fan will costs RM80.00 and the hard disk will also need to be reformatted.

After replacing the processor and fan + reformatting, the PC is now working but I have to reinstalled some of the software.

So when you have a BSOD, your PC will required a Dr PC to solve the problem.
