The Star paper today front page with a headline: Political Tsunami with the BN denied a two-third majority and losing in 5 states. This is the worst ever performance by BN since 1969.
Who would have expect such a big loss for BN? I only expect a big fight in Penang and PAS will retain Kelantan. At around 8.30pm yesterday while waiting for the results, I got a call from my brother-in-law in Penang that DAP has captured Penang, I could not believe it.
So I logged on to Malaysiakini who gave a more upto date information of the election results. Samy lost, Sharizat lost, Kayveas lost, Koh Tsu Kun lost and more high profile casualties.
Malaysia has decided and the wind of change has blown and turned into a Tsunami. It is a vote from the people against the BN for not fulfilling the promises of the 2004 General Election and become very arrogant. There are so many issues that the people are not happy about like corruption, high crime rates, judiciary, ACA, Cost of living etc etc.
With the DAP, PKR and PAS in power in the five states, it is hoped that the winners will now keep true to their promise of a more transparent and accountable state government and local authority by introducing local council elections.
We will have new Chief Minister/Menteri Besar in four states.
Penang New CM is from DAP, Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng
Selangor New Menteri Besar is from PKR,Secretary-General Khalid Ibrahim
Kedah New Menteri Besar is from PAS,State PAS Commissioner Azizan Abdul Razak
Perak New Menteri Besar still to be decided between the coalition.

What caused the big wing in votes to the oppositions??? The current race-based political structure, under which parties have traditionally represented individual ethnic groups is no longer relevent.
We Malaysian regardless of race should be rightfully Malaysian and not identified by races.
