The Las Piñas Bamboo Organ St Joseph Parish Church is a unique 19th century musical instrument made almost entirely of bamboo. Built by Fr. Diego Cera de la Virgen de la Carmen in 1816 and housed at the Parish Church of Saint Joseph in the City of Las Piñas in the Philippines, it is considered a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines.
Tagaytay is one of the most popular tourist destinations South of Manila because of its cool climate and beautiful view of Taal volcano island. Tagaytay will provide a spectacular view of the Taal Volcano. It has numerous historical, cultural and man-made attractions.
Along the way, our guide brought us to this restaurant to try the freshly cooked BALUT.
What is BALUT?
If you areof Filipino or other Asian descent, Balut eggs might not sound at all exotic. But if you didn't grow up with Asian foods, eating Balut might be out of your food comfort zone. Balut eggs, considered a delicacy, are fertilized eggs that contain partially developed duck embryos.
Our Guide showing us how to enjoy eating a BALUT. I have tried it some 20 years ago.
My friend also did not dare to try. So he just watch the guide enjoy eating the Balut.
And this place serves mouth watering Duck Specialities
Another stop.
Finally we reach this restaurant for lunch and enjoy the spectacular view from here.
Its one of the smallest volcanoes in the world, But it is actually one of the largest. The entire Tagaytay ridge is the crater's edge and the Taal Lake is the caldera of the volcano. The little 'volcano' you see in the centre of the lake is merely a 'vent'!
Taal volcano is known as the largest island within a lake on an island within a lake on an island!
Back to Manila City late afternoon.
