I am the one in the sex DVD, says Chua (updated)
LABIS: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek admitted he is the politician in the sex DVDs circulating in Johor.
In a press conference here Tuesday, Dr Chua said the girl is his “personal friend”.
He apologised to the Malaysian public, his supporters and colleagues.
He said he did not make the tape himself.
Dr Chua said he will not resign over the sex DVDs. He will leave that up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide.
“I have seen the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting and I have personally apologised to them,” he said while reading from a one-page statement during a press conference here Tuesday.

The pressure will be mounting for him to resign from the public as well as the party.
As a top MCA leader who should be setting a good example to the people, this scandal is definitely not acceptable and against the party code of ethics.
Should he resigned?
Yes, I personally think so to take full responsibility for his actions. Just apologising is not good enough. To wait for other to make the decision or be told to resign wont get him any sympathy. Being a public figure and a Minister, Resignation is the right decision.
I'm shock with this news. What a "good" leader we have for our country!

ReplyDeletePersonally I think he should resign simply because he is a minister and a minister should portray good moral and behaviour. Whether someone try to sabotage him or not is another matter. I hope Badawi will do something about it and not ended up like Rafidah's case where everyone just shut up, forget about it and move on.
