Our home in Nepal: Shambala Guest House

This is the place that we stayed during the pilgrimage. We actually booked for a guest house but they upgraded us to an apartment.

There is a nice garden just outside the guest house.

The view from the apartment is very beautiful and we can see Koppan monastery from here. It will take about 15-20mins to walk up to Koppan Monastery. But we have a van to take us everywhere.

At the ground floor, there is a mini market for our convenience. We can get almost anything from here.

This is the guest house internet cafe which is just next door where I update my blog. But the internet connection is very slow.

Below is a video taken using my Nokia N76 of another unit of the apartment which I took on the last day. I did not take our apartment as is was in a messy situation. Anyway, it is almost the same. I understand it costs USD30.00 per night.

Actually I thought that the accommodation there will be a bit lousy. BUT surprisingly, your stay looks very nice and the place is big.. comfortable I guess..

  4. aceone118: This place is really nice and clean. The only problem we had is the hot water system and the frequent intermittent blackout. The management is working on upgrading to 3 phase. I will stay there if I visit Nepal again. :)

Nesh: I agreed this garden is nice. Infact there are few dogs there. :)

Keeyit: The accommodation really exceed our expectations. In fact we got 5 stars service with breakfast send to our apartments daily. Only problems was with the hotwater system and power cut. :)
