The MITM Travel fair was held at the PWTC from June 22-24th, 2007 with the theme "The Greatest Tourism Carnival 2007.It is not the Greatest after visiting it. This MITM Fair 2007 is very much smaller as compared to the MATTA fair. It only occupied 2 floors and the number of booths are also lesser. I was there to inquire about packages to Xiamen, JiuZaiGuo or Chengdu-Yangtze(3 Gorges) as the price advertised was between RM1699.00 - RM1999.00. My 3 sisters and my family plan to go on holidays together during Nov-Dec 2007.
After checking out with few of the travel agents, the advertised prices are valid till August or for some till October 2007 only. The prices for Nov-Dec 2007 are peak period and it costs Rm1,000.00-RM2,000.00++ more. All this prices are excluding airport taxes, tipping, Visa fees and many others which can costs up to RM700+. Since the peak prices are way out of our budgets, I did not book any and look like our plan may not be come true.
The best deal that I noticed at the the fair is to Shanghai & Shenzhen/Hongkong from RM899++ and RM699++ onwards respectively. Add another RM400+ for the others charges, it is still a good deal.

Natasshea: Not really. I spend about 2 hours there onli. Collected a big pile of pamplets which the promoters keep distributing at every booth. Sell to paper lama collectors maybe can fetched RM5.00. Hehe.
Vhanded: The Fair not too bad lor. If you looking for some good deals and get it there. It is worthwhile.
